Can AI agents automate Workato?

Workato is automatable today through first-party Model Context Protocol servers. In AI Hub > Enterprise MCP, a workspace can host remote MCP servers whose tools come from project assets, API collections, or a proxied external MCP URL, and can connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Microsoft Copilot with a remote MCP URL plus token or Workato Identity. A separate Developer API and Embedded API MCP at https://app.workato.com/mcp authenticates with a Bearer API-client token and exposes the endpoints granted on that client role. AIRO MCP at regional /airo_mcp URLs can create and edit recipes, manage Genies, and create MCP servers using OAuth 2.0 or an API token, and requires AIRO access. MCP is available to users in the US, EU, AU, JP, SG, IL, KR, and UK data centers and is not available in the CN data center, including multi-tenant and Virtual Private Workato. Prebuilt MCP templates such as Calendly and Mailchimp are Workato-hosted catalog servers, not first-party Calendly or Mailchimp products. The Developer REST API at data-center /api/ paths manages recipes, connections, jobs, API platform collections, Agent Studio genies, and recipe-lifecycle packages with Bearer API-client tokens; it is included in specific pricing plans, and Embedded APIs need an Embedded workspace. The Platform CLI is deprecated; Workato documents wk from Workato Labs as the replacement, with --json on every command. This record excludes Zapier, n8n, Microsoft Power Automate, and Make as standalone products. Computer-use viability is unassessed. MCP scores 8 and is the best path.
