Can AI agents automate Mendix?

Mendix is automatable today through APIs that each app publishes and through Siemens-documented platform tooling, not through a single fixed business-object catalog. Studio Pro published REST services expose entities and microflows at paths such as /rest/{service}/v1 with GET, PUT, POST, PATCH, DELETE, HEAD, and OPTIONS, OpenAPI 3.0 and 2.0 contracts, and Swagger UI at /rest-doc/. Authentication is username and password in the Authorization header, an active browser session, or a custom microflow that returns a User. Published OData v4 services are REST services with OpenAPI contracts and the same authentication methods; Cloud-deployed OData services register in the Catalog. Published web services are SOAP 1.1 operations authenticated with a username and password in the SOAP header against a WebServiceUser. GraphQL on a published OData/GraphQL service is documented as optional and read-only. The Catalog Search API at https://catalog.mendix.com/rest/search/v5/data authenticates with a personal access token. Official TypeScript and JavaScript Platform and Model SDKs create apps and edit models. The mx CLI, shipped with Studio Pro, checks, converts, packages, diffs, and dumps .mpr files. Mendix documents a first-party MCP Server module that exposes selected microflows as tools and prompts over Streamable HTTP protocol v2025-03-26; the module is early, limited to String or TextContent tool returns, and requires Studio Pro 11.12+ for the Agents Kit 2 line. Coverage is partial because callers only see services each app models and publishes. iPaaS catalogs were not opened. Computer-use viability is unassessed. API scores 7 and is the best path for production integration. Use MCP when a Mendix app has published tools.
