Can AI agents automate PTC Windchill?

PTC Windchill is automatable today through Windchill REST Services, not through Creo TOOLKIT or ThingWorx as standalone products. Windchill is PTC's enterprise PLM, connecting product data, processes, and people. The opened product page names Windchill 13.1.2, browser Product View Web, and Navigate 10.0 role-based apps. Navigate is a role-based access layer, not a second PLM product. PTC sells the suite on-premises or in the PTC Cloud. WRS is bundled from Windchill 11.0 M030 CPS06 and exposes OData domains for product, document, change, CAD document, workflow, manufacturing, quality, and other functional areas. The framework processes GET, POST, PATCH, PUT, and DELETE. Clients call /Windchill/servlet/odata/{Domain} or, with OAuth, /Windchill/oauth/servlet/odata/{Domain} using a Bearer token and WINDCHILL_READ scope. PTC also documents Basic authentication for Windchill REST APIs. Write calls need a CSRF_NONCE from GetCSRFToken(). An in-product OpenAPI 3.0 catalog lists a subset of endpoints. WRSCaller is PTC's official Java HTTP wrapper. The Windchill AI Assistant plugin 2026.1.0.11 ships a first-party MCP server at /Windchill/WCPlugins/wcaiassistant/mcp with assist, search, and summarize tools. That MCP is official but plugin-licensed and narrower than WRS, so API remains the best path. Zapier, Make, Power Automate, and n8n listings were not opened. Computer-use viability is unassessed.
