Can AI agents automate monday.com?

monday.com work management is automatable today through a first-party hosted Platform MCP server and the GraphQL platform API that MCP wraps. The hosted server at mcp.monday.com/mcp uses Streamable HTTP with OAuth or a personal API token. It exposes more than 60 tools for boards, items, workspaces, docs, forms, users, updates, and related objects, plus an all_monday_api tool that runs arbitrary GraphQL. MCP is available on all plans at no extra product cost; an admin must install the monday MCP marketplace app, and every tool call counts toward the account's daily GraphQL call limit. Some workflow, automation, agent, and asset-upload tools run against a preview API schema. The Apps MCP is a separate developer-tooling server for scaffolding apps; it does not operate boards or items and is outside this product boundary. The GraphQL API at api.monday.com/v2 reads and writes boards, items, workspaces, docs, users, and webhooks. It authenticates with OAuth 2.0 app tokens or personal V2 API tokens. Official JavaScript and Python clients are maintained. Viewers, student accounts, and deactivated users cannot use the API. Daily call limits are 1,000 on Free/Basic/Standard, 10,000 recommended on Pro, and 25,000 on Enterprise, with separate complexity, minute, and concurrency caps. Zapier, Make, n8n, and Microsoft Power Automate all have monday.com connectors; the Power Automate connector is Premium, published by Plugin Genie, and requires a marketplace app subscription. The official CLI manages the apps framework, not boards and items. Computer-use viability is unassessed.
