Can AI agents automate ClickUp?

ClickUp is automatable today through a public REST API and a first-party hosted MCP server. The API at api.clickup.com authenticates with OAuth 2.0 authorization-code tokens or personal API tokens and reads and writes tasks, lists, folders, comments, docs, chat, time tracking, and related workspace objects. Rate limits are 100 requests per minute on Free, Unlimited, and Business, 1,000 on Business Plus, and 10,000 on Enterprise. Some endpoints vary by plan. The official MCP server at mcp.clickup.com/mcp is in public beta, available on all plans, and authenticates only with OAuth 2.1 plus PKCE. It exposes tools for search, task and list management, time tracking, docs, chat, and workspace hierarchy. Without the Everything AI add-on, MCP is capped at 50 calls per 24 hours on Free Forever and 300 on Unlimited and above; with the add-on, MCP uses the same limits as the public API. Zapier and n8n publish ClickUp connectors for tasks and related objects. Microsoft Power Automate lists a Premium preview Independent Publisher connector with a narrow create-and-get surface. Make was not verified in this pass. No official general-purpose CLI was established. Computer-use viability is unassessed.
