Can AI agents automate Gorgias?

Gorgias · saas · customer-supporthelpdeskcommerce

Gorgias is automatable today through its REST API. This record is the Gorgias ecommerce helpdesk (tickets, customers, macros, rules, help center, and AI Agent settings). It is not Zendesk, Help Scout, or Dixa. The API uses resource-oriented HTTPS URLs on https://{domain}.gorgias.com, accepts JSON request bodies, and returns JSON. Private apps authenticate with HTTP Basic: the username is the account email and the password is an API key created under Settings, REST API. The key has the same permissions as that user. Public apps must use OAuth 2.0 bearer access tokens. Access tokens expire; the offline scope is how an app obtains a refresh token. API-key integrations are limited to 40 requests in a 20-second window. OAuth2 apps are limited to 80 requests in a 20-second window. Enterprise uses the same counts in a 10-second window. The API introduction says resources that are not in the documentation are reserved for internal use. Gorgias also hosts an MCP server at https://mcp.gorgias.com/mcp, available on all Helpdesk plans. The user enters the Gorgias subdomain and signs in. Actions follow the user's Gorgias role. The help article says the MCP is in beta and some features may not work as expected. It describes ticket replies, internal notes, ticket fields, rules, help center articles, analytics, and AI Agent settings. A brand-specific URL can add gorgias_subdomain as a query parameter. Starter is $40 per month with a free trial and no credit card required. A permanent free plan was not established. https://www.gorgias.com/llms.txt is a first-party product index, and https://developers.gorgias.com/llms.txt is the developer-portal index. Official language SDKs, a product CLI, and connector catalogs were not established. Computer-use viability is unassessed. API scores 7 and is the best path because it is the documented REST contract. MCP scores 6 because it is an official beta.
