Can AI agents automate Adobe Acrobat?

Acrobat is broadly automatable through Adobe's cloud Document Services and Acrobat Sign API families. PDF Services uses asynchronous REST jobs to create PDFs from Office, HTML, text, image, and URL inputs; export PDFs to Office and image formats; combine, split, reorder, rotate, insert, replace, and delete pages; run OCR; compress, linearize, protect, and unprotect files; extract structured text, tables, figures, and metadata; import or export form data; generate documents from Word templates and JSON; and apply electronic seals. OAuth server-to-server credentials support unattended PDF processing, while Acrobat Sign adds user-authorized agreement and webhook workflows. Adobe maintains Java, Node.js, Python, and .NET SDKs, direct REST examples, and a first-party premium Power Automate connector. The service is server-side only: credentials must not reach untrusted clients, input and output assets have retention and regional-processing rules, and transaction, page, file-size, and request-rate limits affect workflow design. No first-party MCP status, general-purpose CLI, repeatable desktop RPA result, or computer-use result was established.
