Can AI agents automate Webflow?

Webflow is automatable today through Data API v2 at https://api.webflow.com/v2. Requests are REST JSON with Authorization Bearer. Data Client apps use OAuth 2.0 authorization-code grant. Site tokens authenticate a single site (maximum five tokens, expire after 365 days of inactivity, and cannot call authorization, custom-code, or workspace-activity endpoints). Enterprise workspace tokens are limited to workspace audit logs. Official JavaScript (npm webflow-api) and Python (PyPI webflow) SDKs exist; both packages still label themselves Preview. The Data API covers sites, pages, CMS collections, fields, and items (staged and live, including bulk writes and cmsLocaleIds), assets, forms, ecommerce, comments, custom code for OAuth apps, and signed webhooks. Plan rate limits are 60 requests per minute on Starter and Basic, 120 on CMS, eCommerce, and Business, and custom on Enterprise. Site publish is limited to one successful publish per minute. Designer APIs are a separate client-side JavaScript surface for Designer Extensions inside an iframe; they are not the HTTP Data API. Webflow hosts a first-party remote MCP server at https://mcp.webflow.com/mcp. MCP 2.0 launched 2026-07-21 for all users. Tools cover design, CMS, pages, assets, forms, comments, and Analyze, and stay inside the signed-in user's Designer permissions. MCP cannot create or apply Interactions (IX3), cannot create new localized CMS items, cannot change workspace access settings, and authorizes one workspace per login. Snapshots and live selection, page, mode, branch, canvas, and breakpoint changes still need the Designer Bridge App. The official CLI (@webflow/webflow-cli, Node.js 22.13 or higher) manages sites, CMS, assets, forms, DevLink, Designer Extensions, and Webflow Cloud with --json and --no-input. Zapier, Make, and n8n publish Webflow connectors. Microsoft's connector catalog had no Webflow connector on 2026-09-01. Computer-use viability is unassessed. API and CLI both score 8; API is the best path because it does not require a local Node toolchain or browser CLI login, and it can create localized CMS items that MCP cannot.
