Can AI agents automate Supabase?

Supabase hosted Postgres is automatable today through a public Management API, an auto-generated PostgREST Data API, and a first-party hosted MCP server. The Management API at https://api.supabase.com/v1 authenticates with a personal access token or OAuth2 and manages organizations and projects. Standard rate limits are 120 requests per minute per user per project or organization, with stricter caps on logs, usage, and database-context endpoints. The Data REST API at https://<project_ref>.supabase.co/rest/v1/ is generated from the Postgres schema and supports CRUD, views, functions, and Row Level Security behind key auth. Official supabase-js covers database, Auth, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Storage. The hosted MCP server at https://mcp.supabase.com/mcp uses browser OAuth by default, or a PAT header for CI. Tools cover SQL, migrations, logs, Edge Functions, account and project management, and docs search. Storage tools are off by default. Branching tools need a paid plan. URL parameters can set read_only, project_ref, and feature groups. Local CLI MCP is at http://localhost:54321/mcp. Supabase states MCP is for development and testing, not production data. Plans are Free, Pro ($25/month), Team, and Enterprise; Free projects pause after one week of inactivity. n8n ships a Supabase row node. Computer-use viability is unassessed. API scores 8 and is the best path because MCP is vendor-limited to non-production data.
