Can AI agents automate Sitecore Experience Manager?

Sitecore Experience Manager is automatable today through Sitecore.Services.Client item APIs. This record is XM/XP item access (ItemService REST and the OData Item Service) documented for Sitecore Experience Manager. It is not Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful, Umbraco, or SitecoreAI / XM Cloud. ItemService exposes HTTPS login at POST /sitecore/api/ssc/auth/login with domain, username, and password and sets an authentication cookie used for later calls. Documented reads include GET /sitecore/api/ssc/item/{id} and path lookup. Documented writes include POST /sitecore/api/ssc/item/{path} to create an item (201 with Location). The OData Item Service at /sitecore/api/ssc/aggregate/content/Items is read-only JSON and requires sc_apikey as a query parameter or header. API key items live under /sitecore/system/Settings/Services/API Keys and must be published. Opened XM/XP developer pages do not declare a first-party MCP for Experience Manager. Sitecore documents a Marketer MCP for SitecoreAI only; that product is outside this record. A third-party Sitecore Community MCP (Antonytm/mcp-sitecore-server, npm @antonytm/mcp-sitecore-server) is maintained for XM/XP and SitecoreAI and states it is not supported by Sitecore. Official SDKs, a product CLI, and iPaaS catalogs were not established. Computer-use viability is unassessed. API scores 7 and is the best path because cookie login plus an on-prem or hybrid install keep it below the broadest cloud-native band. MCP scores 4 for one maintained third-party implementation.
