Can AI agents automate SAP SuccessFactors?

SAP SuccessFactors HCM is automatable today through tenant OData APIs on regional hosts such as https://api4.successfactors.com/odata/v2. SAP documents OAuth 2.0 SAML Bearer Assertion with an X.509 certificate and an API key from Manage OAuth2 Client Applications as the current authentication path. HTTP basic authentication is documented as becoming obsolete for OData and SFAPI. Role-based permissions separately gate Foundation and HRIS OData read and write access. SFAPI remains as legacy SOAP and is recommended only for CompoundEmployee. Integration Center can push XML, JSON, or CSV to REST or SFTP targets. Intelligent Services Center can fire hire, rehire, and termination events into Integration Center or an external REST endpoint. The official SAP Cloud SDK for Java and JavaScript generates typed OData clients from Business Accelerator Hub specifications; the Hub lists SuccessFactors Recruiting, Onboarding, Employee Central, and related packages. Zapier publishes a SuccessFactors app with job-application and generic-record triggers plus create, update, upsert, delete, find, time-off, and raw OData query actions. Microsoft Power Automate reaches the same OData surface through the SAP OData connector's SuccessFactors authentication. Make and n8n had no built-in connector on 2026-08-31.
