Can AI agents automate Gong?

Gong is automatable today through Gong API v2, not through MCP if the job needs raw transcripts or writes. A tech admin creates an Access Key and Access Key Secret and sends Authorization: Basic, or runs company- level OAuth (Gong does not support user-level OAuth) at https://app.gong.io/oauth2/authorize and https://app.gong.io/oauth2/generate-customer-token, then calls the customer-specific api_base_url_for_customer. Default limits are 3 calls per second and 10,000 per day. Documented resources include calls (list, upload, media), users, stats, settings, libraries, data-privacy deletes, CRM upload, auditing, permissions, and Engage flows. A first- party MCP at https://mcp.gong.io/mcp is available on any Gong plan after a tech admin creates an MCP integration. Declared tools are ask_account, ask_deal, and generate_brief. The server is read-only, returns AI-generated insights rather than transcripts or activity lists, excludes private calls, and requires a paid Gong seat plus Gong credits. Collaborators cannot connect. Each integration is personal access (the authorizing user's Gong data) or shared access (organization-wide); that choice cannot be changed after save. This record excludes Salesforce Sales Cloud, Zoom, and Chorus as standalone products. Computer-use viability is unassessed. API scores 7 and is the best path because MCP coverage is insight-only.
