Can AI agents automate DevCycle?
DevCycle · saas · developer-tools
DevCycle is automatable today through the Management API. This record is the DevCycle feature-flag platform. It is not LaunchDarkly, Unleash, or Statsig. The Management API is documented as an OpenAPI for managing features and variables. A token is requested from POST https://auth.devcycle.com/oauth/token with grant_type=client_credentials, audience https://api.devcycle.com/, and the client id and secret from the DevCycle dashboard. The same page documents a second token request, grant_type=refresh_token, for Enterprise organizations that use stricter roles. Opened operations include creating and listing projects at https://api.devcycle.com/v1/projects. The homepage says DevCycle ships 15+ SDKs and that project configuration can be exported. SDK language names were not copied from an SDK index. The CLI installs with npm install -g @devcycle/cli. The opened quick start is dvc login sso, then dvc projects select and dvc features list. The hosted MCP server is https://mcp.devcycle.com/mcp, with an SSE fallback at https://mcp.devcycle.com/sse. Authentication opens a browser at mcp.devcycle.com, and an account with more than one organization picks one at auth.devcycle.com. The getting-started page lists tools for features, variables, project selection, self-targeting overrides, evaluation counts, and SDK install guidance. The overview page says the server exposes 35+ tools. DevCycle says the registry name is com.devcycle/mcp. The homepage offers a start without a credit card and describes usage-based plans. iPaaS catalogs were not opened. Computer-use viability is unassessed. The API and MCP both score 8. The API is the best path because client credentials call it without a browser OAuth session or an MCP client. The CLI scores 6 because the opened login path is interactive SSO.
Best path today: api · Overall automatability: 8/10
