Can AI agents automate Cambio COSMIC?

Cambio COSMIC is automatable today through Cambio Open Services, a partner-gated B2B API surface into COSMIC. Most services are FHIR R4 profiles adapted to COSMIC; some remain REST, and Cambio states the long-term goal is to replace those with FHIR. The public FHIR implementation guide, generated 2026-06-18, covers appointments, encounters, care plans, medications, laboratory and radiology orders, referrals, vital signs, vaccinations, payments, and related resources, with both search and create operations on documented profiles. Writes go through COSMIC internal APIs so product business rules and versioning apply. Authentication on the current security guide is OAuth 2.0 client credentials only, plus an Azure API Management subscription key. Interactive SMART authorization-code launch is not available; public apps must sit behind a backend that holds the client secret. A sandbox with a complete COSMIC install and synthetic data is offered after innovators register, sign up, and have a Partner's API subscription activated. Production use is B2B: the information owner must approve consumers, and clinical-safety and privacy rules still govern every write. Zapier, Make, Microsoft Power Automate, and n8n had no COSMIC connector on 2026-08-21. Official MCP registry hits for "cosmic" are Cosmic JS and an unrelated compass server, not Cambio COSMIC. Vendor documentation does not settle first-party MCP ownership. No official SDK, general CLI, or computer-use probe was established.
