Can AI agents automate Zabbix?

Zabbix is automatable today through its JSON-RPC API. This record is Zabbix on-prem and Zabbix Cloud. Netdata, Datadog, and Grafana are separate products. The current manual is Zabbix 7.4. The license page says that from Zabbix 7.0, versions are released under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3. The API is shipped with the web frontend at api_jsonrpc.php and uses JSON-RPC 2.0. apiinfo.version on the current manual returns 7.4.0. Callers authenticate with an API token created in the frontend or with the token returned by user.login. Both are sent as Authorization: Bearer. Most method groups document get, create, update, and delete, and access still follows the Zabbix user role. No Zabbix page opened in this pass declares an official MCP server or says that Zabbix does not provide one, so first-party MCP stays unknown. Three maintained third-party servers were opened. initMAX/zabbix-mcp-server says it exposes the entire Zabbix API, stating 58 API groups and 223 tools. mhajder/zabbix-mcp is a Python server for Zabbix 6.0 through 7.4 that accepts an API token and can create and update hosts, items, and problems unless read-only mode is set. stufently/zabbix-ai-cli is a Go MCP and CLI for Zabbix 6.4 or newer that uses Bearer tokens and task-shaped commands rather than the whole API. Connector catalogs were not opened. Computer-use viability is unassessed. The API scores 8 and is the best path. Third-party MCP scores 6 because several maintained servers exist and none is a Zabbix-declared product.
