Can AI agents automate SigNoz?
SigNoz · hybrid · observabilitydeveloper-tools
SigNoz is automatable today through its hosted MCP server. This record is the SigNoz observability platform, including SigNoz Cloud and self-hosted SigNoz. Datadog, Grafana, Honeycomb, New Relic, and Axiom are separate products. Cloud MCP is https://mcp.<region>.signoz.cloud/mcp. The region must match the account or authentication fails. Hosted clients use OAuth 2.1. Clients that support it dynamically register, then use Authorization Code with PKCE. The browser step asks for the SigNoz instance URL and a service-account API key. Only an Admin can create that key. Clients that cannot complete OAuth can send SIGNOZ-API-KEY and X-SigNoz-URL headers. Self-hosted installs run the same vendor server locally. The SigNoz MCP repository documents tools for metrics, logs, traces, alert rules, dashboards, services, saved views, and notification channels, including create, update, and delete for alerts and dashboards. The opened Logs API is POST https://{URL}/api/v5/query_range with the SIGNOZ-API-KEY header. It covers search, aggregate, and explorer links for logs. Metrics and traces REST pages were not opened, so API coverage stays partial. A management CLI and connector catalogs were not opened. The documentation index calls SigNoz an open-source observability platform. Cloud Teams starts at $49 per month, and the pricing page also offers a self-hosted Community edition. https://signoz.io/llms.txt is a documentation index. Computer-use viability is unassessed. MCP scores 8 and is the best path. The opened Logs API scores 6.
Best path today: mcp · Overall automatability: 8/10
