Can AI agents automate Pigment?

Pigment is automatable today through its workspace MCP server. This record is the Pigment enterprise planning platform for finance, supply chain, sales, and workforce planning. It is not Anaplan. A Security Administrator, Workspace Administrator, or Primary Owner enables MCP under Settings, Integrations, MCP. That generates a workspace endpoint. The client guide shows the shape https://pigment.app/api/mcp/public/{id}. Users sign in with Pigment credentials, and existing access rights apply. The Use AI Agents permission is required or tool calls on that Application fail. Default mode is read-oriented for Applications, Blocks, Boards, and Metric or List data. Advanced mode is off by default and adds modeling writes; the opened page names create_metric as one of those tools. Only Metrics of type Number, Integer, or Boolean can be read through MCP. The REST API uses Authorization: Bearer. Export of a Metric, List, or Table view returns CSV from https://pigment.app/api/v1/export/view/{viewId}. Import accepts a CSV body or triggers a saved import configuration, then a status call reports InProgress, Completed, or Failed. Metadata calls return JSON for Applications, Blocks, Views, and import configurations. Keys impersonate their owner. The public API allows 500 requests per 5 minutes per IP address. A legacy import header, X-Pigment-Api-Key, is documented as deprecated. The custom-client page requires OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and says API keys are not supported for MCP; that page's frontmatter is marked stale, while the current client guide still says to leave the OAuth client id and secret empty. kb.pigment.com/llms.txt is a first-party knowledge-base index. No official language SDK was established. Zapier and n8n appear only as OAuth callback allowlists for MCP clients, which is not a scored iPaaS connector. Computer-use viability is unassessed. MCP scores 7 and the API scores 6. MCP is the best path because it can query and, in advanced mode, edit models, while the REST API is import, export, and metadata.
