Can AI agents automate Langfuse?

Langfuse is automatable today through its Public API, first-party MCP, and CLI. The project-level REST API at /api/public uses HTTP Basic with a public/secret key pair (pk-lf- / sk-lf-). It covers traces, observations, prompts, datasets, scores, and metrics. Official Python and JS/TS SDKs wrap the same API. Trace ingestion should use the OpenTelemetry endpoint; the legacy Ingestion API sunsets on Langfuse Cloud on 16 November 2026. Official MCP is a streamableHttp server at /api/public/mcp on Cloud EU, US, JP, and HIPAA hosts and on self-hosted deployments, authenticated with the same Basic key pair and scoped to one project. Read and write tools are on by default. The CLI (npx langfuse-cli api) is generated from the OpenAPI spec and uses the same keys. A separate public docs MCP is not the data-platform server. Zapier, Make, Power Automate, and n8n connector listings were not opened. Computer-use viability is unassessed. API, MCP, and CLI all score 8; API is the best path because MCP is project-scoped and the vendor recommends the Agent Skill or CLI when a shell is available.
