Can AI agents automate Airtable?

Airtable is automatable today through a first-party hosted MCP server and a public REST Web API. The remote MCP endpoint at mcp.airtable.com/mcp is available on all plans, uses OAuth with dynamic client registration or a personal access token, and can list and search bases, read and write records, create and modify tables and fields, build interface pages, and create or update automations, scoped to the connected user's existing permissions. Airtable documents first-party connectors for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, and Gemini Enterprise, plus an official @airtable/mcp-cli that discovers those same tools at runtime. The REST API at api.airtable.com/v0 is JSON over HTTPS and authenticates with OAuth 2.0 or personal access tokens. It can list, filter, create, update, and delete records and manage webhooks; metadata and enterprise endpoints are in scope when the token has the matching scopes and base access. Official JavaScript client airtable.js is listed on the API introduction. API and automation usage are plan-capped, webhooks created with PAT or OAuth expire after seven days unless refreshed, and the REST surface does not cover every Interface or automation editor action. Zapier, Make, and n8n have Airtable connectors; Microsoft's connector catalog listed only a deprecated Independent Publisher Airtable connector on 2026-08-21. Computer-use viability is unassessed.
